The calabash is the hollowed out and desiccated shell of the gourd and is often used as a vessel for storing and transporting liquids or as a sound box for musical instruments. The artist Arouna from Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) transformed it for us as a small lamp that creates a beautiful and subdued atmosphere. With fresh colors and fine cutouts, the Lulaca lamp makes every room shine and conjures up a cozy ambience.
